Bates of London are commercial launderers specialising in bulk laundry services and textile rental in London England. “We recognise that our operations have an effect on the local, regional and global environment.” Our principal activities include the laundering of bed linen, table linen and towelling which we collect from and deliver to our customers on our own fleet of vehicles.
We attach maximum importance to matters concerning the environment. Our policy is to meet and, where practical, exceed all relevant regulatory requirements and to minimise any adverse environmental effects caused as a result of our activities or processes. We will continually assess the environmental impact of our operations and through minimising the use of materials and resources, we will reduce our wastage to the lowest practical level.
Consideration will always be given to the environmental effects of the products used in our processes and wherever possible we will use materials and components that can be
recycled. Consideration will also be given to the sourcing of the textiles that we purchase for rental
and or sale and wherever possible the raw material will come from sustainable sources.
Through strategic planning we will minimise the environmental effect of new developments and always include environmental considerations in investment decisions. Employee involvement in environmental matters is encouraged at all levels and will be promoted through training, communications and a constant reappraisal of working methods and techniques.
Our Environmental Management System which applies to all our activities provides for the
setting of objectives and targets and it is our aim to secure continual improvement in
